Provo City Utilities Selects AAC

Provo City Utilities, located in Provo Utah, has selected AAC Utility Partners to provide consulting services in conjunction with creating a technology assessment of its legacy Customer Information System (CIS). Throughout the assessment project, AAC Utility Partners will guide Provo City Utilities through the process of identifying its key business processes and technical requirements, which will ultimately allow Provo City Utilities to provide the best customer service in the coming years.

The primary goals of the technology assessment are as follows:

  • To identify the best solutions for Provo City Utilities current business operation challenges and future technology goals.
  • To provide clear direction for moving forward and enabling the best-fit solutions for minimizing the risk to Provo City Utilities.
  • To meet the needs of the utility as well as the needs of its customer base.

Our project with AAC Utility Partners will help us better identify where we have gaps in our business and technology processes – Karen Larsin, Director of Customer Service

“We are looking forward to assisting Provo City Utilities through this transitional process,” said Edwin Crow, managing partner of AAC Utility Partners.   “This utility is strongly entrenched in the community, and its highest mission is to provide superior service to its customers.  Our technology assessment will help identify the best solutions for expanding Provo City Utilities’ customer service capabilities while bolstering the key infrastructure and business drivers.”

“The City of Provo and our utility is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers,” said Karen Larsen, Director of Customer Service for Provo City Utilities. “Our project with AAC Utility Partners will help us better identify where we have gaps in our business and technology processes so we can continue to enhance our customer service.  I feel like we will have a better idea of how to expand our customer service capabilities, whether that is with more self-service options or mobile transaction capabilities or a transition to an advanced metering infrastructure.”
